On January 25 and 26 more than 200 British Columbians met in Victoria at the “Site C Accountability Summit”. This meeting presented the numerous reasons that demonstrate why Premier Horgan and his Cabinet made the wrong decision when they decided to proceed with the Site C damming of the Peace River. First Things First Okanagan was represented at this informative gathering of Indigenous leaders, members of both the Green Party and NDP, those who will be directly affected by Site C and many organizations and individual British Columbians who are angry at the direction the BC Government is taking. If you wish to join in this effort to have the Site C stopped, please tell Premier Horgan you support the ideas presented in this letter.
Supporting the Moberly and Profit River Native Bands’ court challenge is another way to help. Please have a look at their website [btn text=”here.” tcolor=#008000 bcolor=#FFF thovercolor=#FFF bhovercolor=#008000 link=”http://www.stakeinthepeace.com/” target=”_blank”]
