Bryson Robertson is an Adjunct Professor within the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and serves as the Program Manager for both the 2060 Project and the West Coast Wave Initiative) within the Institute for Integrated Energy Systems.

 

Utility 2.0 – What happens when energy is free?
The new focus on renewable energy and the de-carbonization of Canada’s energy sector will have enormous implications on technology, policy, economics, society and the environment. As our energy systems transition to carbon neutrality and increasingly rely on renewables, the differences between the cost of power and the value of power will become increasingly stark. There are opportunities and hurdles associated with this transition, taking results from the “2060 Project” at the University of Victoria.
