Alicia Clancy, David Suzuki Foundation

Alisha is Manager of Science and Policy at the David Suzuki Foundation where she advances science and policy goals through the management of climate and sustainable infrastructure projects and government relations. Previous to this role, she was the Manager of the Global Economy program at the Centre for International Governance Innovation in Waterloo, Ontario.

A Good News Story: Global Trends in Renewable Energy

With major climate shocks around the world demanding attention, increasing importance is now placed on climate issues and renewable energy in the global economy. Worldwide trends in renewable energy are now moving in a positive direction. U.S. and global examples of increasing wind and solar capacity, decreasing cost trends, and improved quality means renewable energy will emerge as the path to meet Canadian and international climate commitments.
