Join us for a free event to "kick the tires" of electric vehicles, solar panels, and energy conservation ideas. Adopting these energy solutions is the most effective way for individuals to reduce their carbon emissions. Three solar photovoltaic installers will answer questions about solar installations. Burrowing Owl winery is fully run on solar power and owner Jim Wyse will talk about the solar installations at Burrowing Owl at 11 a.m. Individuals who have installed solar panels will be present and willing to answer questions about their experiences.

Three electric and hybrid vehicle dealers be displaying the latest models, and bike dealers will demonstrate electric bikes and offer test rides. At 2 p.m., Bruce Stout from the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association will give an illustrated talk on his cross-Canada trip in his Tesla . Electric vehicle owners will be on site to show off their cars and talk about their experience owning and travelling with an EV.

The wine shop will be open for tastings and the Sonora Room has agreed to offer an inexpensive lunch. So, come and check out the vehicles, admire your reflection in the solar panels, enjoy a glass of wine, and try out an electric bicycle. The future is electric.
